Hillside Food Outreach of Westchester delivers healthy food to families in need monthly.
Norma Vanable was diagnosed with breast cancer seven years after her daughter passed away from the same illness.
Hillside Food Outreach began helping Vanable with food when her Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits ran out.
The organization serves about 1,800 people every month.
